InCred Capital hires three senior executives to reinforce its investment banking leadership team

InCred Capital, a financial services firm, has made strategic appointments to its investment banking leadership team by adding three senior executives. Anjani Kumar has been named Chairman of Client Coverage, Akbar Khan as Chairman of Advisory, and Mahesh Prasad as Managing Director. The move is intended to strengthen the investment banking team, increase deal origination and expand the firm’s presence in various sectors.
Boasting over two decades of experience in investment banking, corporate M&A, consumer and corporate finance, and fintech, Akbar Khan joins InCred Capital as Chairman of Advisory. He has previously held senior positions with industry giants like Merrill Lynch, GE, and PwC, and brings a wealth of knowledge in areas such as sell-side advisory, buy-side acquisitions, and business management.
With more than 27 years of experience in M&A, Capital Markets, and Corporate Finance, Anjani Kumar has been appointed Chairman of Client Coverage at InCred Capital. Having previously led the investment banking teams at CIMB and RBS in India, he comes to InCred with extensive domain expertise in infrastructure, energy & renewables, industrials, healthcare, and technology.
Anjani Kumar, the newly appointed Chairman of Client Coverage at InCred Capital, began his investment banking career with PwC Corporate Finance before working at ABN AMRO, RBS, CIMB, and o3 Capital. He has also spent over five years working overseas in London and HK. In his most recent role, he was the founder and CEO of Asialink Advisors, a specialized advisory firm focused on cross-border M&A and fundraising.
InCred Capital has appointed Mahesh Prasad, an investment banking veteran with more than 30 years of experience, as Managing Director in Bangalore. Prasad will be responsible for expanding the firm’s top-tier Pharma advisory practice. He has previously served as the head of Ernst & Young’s Pharma practice and has also managed his own boutique firm, Genesis Management Consultancy, for two decades.
