Inaguration of Medical Incubation center 1st in Public Hospital in Uttar Pradesh by DGHS at Government Institute of Medical Sciences Greater Noida

Government Institute of Medical Sciences, Greater Noida, is an autonomous tertiary care institute of Government of UP, with a mission to provide affordable health services to all sections of the society and has been envisioned to be in the forefront of providing excellent professional medical education and multi-disciplinary research. The institute has started MBBS (2019), DNB (2020), College of nursing (2021), and Paramedical School (2021).
“Inauguration of “Centre of Medical Incubation GIMS” is on 19th May, 2024 at 10 AM at GIMS by Chief Guest Dr. Atul Goel, Director General of Health Services.
At GIMS, there is a dedicated “Centre for Medical Innovation” (CMI) supporting the growth of Med-Tech startups in various stages of development. This initiative, backed by the Government of Uttar Pradesh, leverages the resources of GIMS to introduce passionate individuals and budding entrepreneurs to the vibrant startup ecosystem at CMI-GIMS, inspiring them to pursue entrepreneurship as a career path. At its core, the incubator was established with the resolute goal of fostering innovation, nurturing startups, and propelling the healthcare sector into a new era of progress.
GIMS have startups working in healthcare IT, medical devices & equipment, healthcare infrastructure, AI & machine learning, as well as digital health platforms. During the ground breaking ceremony hosted by the Uttar Pradesh government in Lucknow, one of our startups was selected in the AI Hub category, while seven of our startups were chosen for the Stanford Byers Centre for Biodesign in the Founders Forum and Innovators Garage categories. At the Mahakumbh organized at Pragati Maidan, Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, two of our startups got selected at state pavilion, Easiofy and TSW Drones, were selected to represent our institute & 8 at startup pavilion. GIMS incubation centre was the only public hospital based incubation centre at Mahakumbh, with support from the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) – Government of India.
