Imarticus Learning acquires HeroMindmine to expand its professional education offerings

HeroMindmine, the training division of the Hero Group, has been acquired by professional education company Imarticus Learning for an undisclosed sum.

This is the Mumbai-based company’s third acquisition. It had previously purchased StartOnboard and Skillenza.

HeroMindmine, a company with over 40 employees, generated Rs 12 crore in revenue in FY22.

“The acquisition is aimed at strengthening our presence in the B2B training space, and we will now be able to expand further into the field of sales training solutions,” Nikhil Barshikar, founder, said in a statement. The firm is also planning other acquisitions for this year, he said.

Imarticus will now operate as a complete sales training academy, providing services for creating e-learning and game-based learning content as well as sales onboarding and upskilling programmes, customised training solutions, management and leadership programmes, and more.

“We achieved a 70% growth in revenue and a 400% growth in EBITDA profit last year and remain bullish this year. We are looking to grow sustainably and profitably across both B2B and B2C sectors,” said Barshikar.

The education-focused venture capital fund CBA Capital contributed about $2 million to the edtech company’s Series B funding round in 2018. ARR totaled $20 million at the end of FY2021–2022.
