IIMA Ventures (formerly IIMA-CIIE) has officially launched Growth Accelerator 2.0, a strategic program designed to accelerate the growth of 15 small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and family-run businesses in India. This initiative focuses on providing critical support to help these businesses overcome scaling challenges through a well-structured learning and mentorship experience.
The Growth Accelerator 2.0 aims to empower SMEs, family businesses, and growth-stage startups that often face difficulties in scaling due to a lack of resources, mentorship, and networks. The program offers a comprehensive range of interventions, including knowledge sessions, masterclasses, workshops, founder talks, diagnostic panels, and mentoring clinics. This combination of hands-on and practical learning is expected to help participants operationalize growth strategies and fully unlock their potential.
Chintan Bakshi, Partner at IIMA Ventures, highlighted the importance of the program, stating, “We believe SMEs and family businesses are the backbone of India’s economy, but they often face challenges in scaling efficiently. This accelerator aims to equip them with the knowledge, strategies, and guidance they need to navigate complex market dynamics, unlock new growth opportunities, and scale their operations sustainably.”
The program will commence with an intensive three-day bootcamp held at the prestigious IIM Ahmedabad campus. Here, participants will be engaged in workshops and sessions led by IIMA faculty, with successful entrepreneurs sharing real-world insights on scaling businesses. The accelerator program will extend over two months, during which participants will receive personalized mentorship from domain experts who will assist them in addressing their unique growth challenges.
Founded in 2002 as an entrepreneurship center at IIM Ahmedabad, IIMA Ventures has been a pioneering player in India’s startup ecosystem. The organization boasts a track record of supporting over 7,000 founders and accelerating more than 1,700 startups.
In addition to the Growth Accelerator 2.0, IIMA Ventures has launched several other key initiatives, including iAccelerator, the Bharat Inclusion Initiative, and the Venture Investing Accelerator, further cementing its role as a catalyst in India’s entrepreneurial landscape.
