Nomura invests Rs 125 crore in the Morgan Stanley-backed iBus Group

Nomura, a worldwide financial services organization, has invested Rs 125 crore in the iBus Group, a Bengaluru-based telecom infrastructure, and technology company.

This strategic investment will allow iBus Group to consolidate and transform its digital infrastructure into Wi-Fi managed services and other value-added services. According to a report, the money would also allow the iBus Group to extend its global footprint through subsidiaries in Singapore, Dubai, and the United States.

iBus Group

Founded  by Sunil Menon, Subash Vasudevan, and Ram Sellaratnam in 2010, iBus Group owns multidimensional networks spanning around 1 billion square feet and include 750 venues in 52 cities. The addition of Wi-Fi management to the iBus group’s existing business of creating neutral host passive and active IBS networks across diverse locations in India would allow the company to become one of the country’s leading multi-dimensional connectivity network operators. Furthermore, via its connection platform, the company will provide its Internet of Things (IoT) solutions to existing and new clients.

iBus’s director and CBO, Subhash Vasudevan, envisions that with the investment there will be an acceleration in the convergence of protocols to improve customer experience.
