Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao wished for Telangana to be known as the Startup State of India, with Hyderabad receiving international recognition for its robust startup ecosystem. He stated that the Telangana government invested in the second phase of T-Hub with the intention of incubating the next generation of startups that will be strong pillars of the Indian economy in the future.
The Chief Minister officially opened Phase 2 of T-Hub, the country’s leading innovation and startup accelerator, here. With a total built-up area of 5,82,689 square feet, the facility will support over 2,000 startups under one roof, making it the world’s largest innovation campus. T-Hub will provide a collaborative innovation ecosystem for young Indians to launch their startups.
Chandrashekhar Rao emphasized that India will be celebrating its 75th anniversary of independence and that it is critical to provide a clear vision and roadmap for the country’s future, particularly for the youth.
“Young India has high aspirations.” It wants to be challenged and compete on a global scale. “Our government recognizes this aspirational India and wishes to build an India that is known for both its entrepreneurial and technological capabilities,” he added.
Observing the huge appetite for entrepreneurship among India’s youth, the Chief Minister stated that the Telangana government has decided to launch Phase-2 of T-Hub and provide them with the best startup support.
Telangana’s startup ecosystem was ranked among the top 10 global ecosystems for affordable talent and among the top 15 in Asia for attracting funds.
Telangana’s startup policy, according to Chandrashekhar Rao, is progressive, fostering fruitful partnerships by bringing stakeholders from academia, research and development institutions, and corporate firms together to synergize and support innovation and entrepreneurship. As a result, Hyderabad-based startups were able to benefit from valuable collaborations with IT, life sciences, aerospace, defence, automotive, and electric vehicles.
