Hyderabad-based edtech startup eAbyas acquired by learning management system Moodle

To join the Indian edtech market, Moodle buys eAbyas, an edtech firm with offices in Hyderabad. Australian-based Moodle is an open-source learning management system.
The acquisition by Moodle, according to reports, will give it technical strength in development and the provision of services like installation, integration, and content hosting for the international market. In order to support its global offers and take care of its product development, it intends to expand the Indian vertical to 400 employees over the next two years.
The CEO and founder of eAbyas, Sushil Karampuri, stated that they are eager to bring Moodle LMS services to India and to support the growth and services of Moodle internationally.
K T Rama Rao, the minister of IT and industries for Telangana, congratulated the eAbyas team on the acquisition as well. He said that this submission will give an open edtech platform like Moodle the chance to play a significant part in changing digital learning in India.
