Upraised, an innovative HRtech startup, has successfully secured Rs 25 lakh in a funding round led by UK-based Pontaq VC. This funding was facilitated through the Next Generation Incubation Scheme by the Software Technology Park of India (NGIS-STPI).
Upraised, founded by Debarya Dutta, operates at the intersection of artificial intelligence (AI) and human resources, offering a unique platform that utilizes cognitive and aptitude assessments to connect candidates with suitable job roles. The startup’s machine learning algorithm ensures that candidates are matched to projects that align with their strengths.
The newly acquired funds will serve as a significant boost to Upraised’s growth plans. The startup intends to make a foray into the lucrative US and UK markets, enhancing its technological infrastructure, bolstering its team with new talent, and intensifying its marketing efforts.
The company’s journey has been marked by previous funding support from various quarters. Notably, Upraised had received backing from the Pilani Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Society (PIEDS), an initiative by BITS Pilani, as well as the Nidhi entrepreneurship-in-residence (EIR) grant from the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, through IIM-Udaipur Incubation Centre.
