SuperCluster Pi, a House of Brands (HoB) startup, has raised $2 million in a seed round led by Exterro Inc’s Bobby Balachandran, with participation from angel networks including Inflection Point Ventures (IPV), Hyderabad Angels, Faad Network, and AngelBay.
The Chennai-based startup intends to spend 70% of the new funds on acquisitions, with the remainder going toward brand growth, team expansion, and brand marketing activities. Over the next 12 months, SuperCluster Pi plans to acquire 6-8 D2C brands.
Bhuvan Bam, Ranveer Allahbadia of Beer Biceps, Praful Billore (MBA Chaiwala), and Arvind Arora (A2) are among the social influencers who have invested in the round.
Over the last six months, the startup has acquired three D2C brands, reaching over 30,000 consumers each month. It currently collaborates with ByNature (superfood and breakfast), Auravedic (ayurvedic skincare), Fragrance and Beyond (skin-safe body fragrances and deodorants), as well as five other in-house brands in the categories of skincare, haircare, sleep, anxiety, and plant protein supplements.
The startup operates eight direct-to-consumer brands, reaching over 30,000 customers each month. The HoB works with direct-to-consumer brands to improve their go-to-market strategy and to support their growth and scalability. SuperCluster Pi supports brands that are socially and environmentally conscious.
SuperCluster Pi, founded by Vishnu Prasath Devarajan in 2021, acquires and scales up consumer-centric, problem-solving, and socially conscious D2C brands.
