Hospitality chain Oyo’s Founder Ritesh Agarwal to married in March

Ritesh Agarwal, the founder and CEO of the hospitality chain OYO, is getting married. The 29-year-old entrepreneur will marry in March of this year.

Ritesh Agarwal’s wedding will be followed by a reception at a five-star hotel in Delhi.

The CEO was born in Odisha to a Marwari family and moved to Delhi for college in 2011. After two years, he dropped out of college and was accepted into the Thiel Fellowship programme. As one of the Fellowship winners, he received a $100,000 grant, which he used to launch OYO in May 2013.

In 2019, he joked that his mother was concerned about his marriage prospects because he did not have a college degree.

“My mom is surely worried that the fact that I don’t have a college degree will impact my chances of finding a bride,” Agarwal had jokingly said during an interview with the Financial Times.

OYO Rooms, also known as OYO Hotels & Homes, is a multinational hospitality chain based in India that operates leased and franchised hotels, homes, and living spaces.
