Grexa AI Raises ₹15.5 Cr in Seed Round to Automate Marketing for India’s Small Businesses

In a major boost to AI-led digital transformation for small businesses, Grexa AI, a marketing automation platform co-founded by the team behind Testbook, has raised ₹15.5 crore (~$1.85 million) in a seed funding round led by Utsav Somani.
The round also saw participation from DeVC (Z47’s seed fund), Bharat Founders Fund, and marquee angel investors including Revant Bhate, Vaibhav Domkundwar, Ramakant Sharma, and Sumit Gupta. The capital will be deployed towards product innovation and market expansion, the company announced via a press release.
Launched in 2024 by Ashutosh Kumar, Ayush Varshney, Arpit Oswal, and Narendra Agrawal, Grexa AI is building a powerful yet easy-to-use AI-driven marketing stack for India’s massive SMB segment. The startup aims to empower local businesses—salons, clinics, gyms, cafés, and more—with enterprise-grade digital marketing capabilities, all within a single autonomous platform.
“Our mission with Grexa is to reimagine how India’s 6 crore+ small businesses market themselves,” said Ashutosh Kumar, co-founder of Grexa AI. “Most of these businesses either rely on agencies, which are expensive, or on DIY tools that are too complex. We’re bringing the power of full-funnel, always-on marketing to their fingertips—without the overhead.”
Grexa’s platform leverages AI to integrate and automate local SEO, social media, digital ads, website optimization, and more—areas where most small business owners struggle due to limited time, budgets, and technical knowledge.
Already used by over 21,600 small businesses, Grexa promises an autonomous marketing engine that continuously adapts to a business’s growth stage and objectives. The company hopes to make agencies and freelancers redundant for everyday marketing needs.
“We believe Grexa’s approach to simplifying digital growth through automation is highly relevant for India’s SMB landscape,” said Utsav Somani, lead investor in the round. “The team’s proven track record and understanding of India’s grassroots market gives them a strong edge.”
With this fresh infusion of capital, Grexa plans to deepen product capabilities, onboard more businesses across tier-2 and tier-3 cities, and expand their tech and support teams.
