- ByStartupStory | February 10, 2024
Official sources have revealed that the government is preparing to announce the national creators’ awards to honor new-age influencers and creators. These first-of-its-kind awards are aimed at recognizing “Gen Z,” referring to the young generation deeply engaged with the internet and social media. The awards will encompass nearly 20 categories and will include social media influencers from platforms like YouTube and Instagram, according to the sources.
One of the categories will specifically acknowledge individuals who have contributed to promoting the country’s soft power and culture on the global stage. Additionally, the awards may feature categories such as “green champions,” “swachhta ambassadors,” “agro creators,” and “tech creators,” the sources added. The format of the awards is expected to mirror that of the national film awards, which honor films in various languages and categories.
