Goodera receives funding of Rs 80 crore from Zoom Ventures, Elevation Capital, Nexus, Binny Bansal, and others

Goodera, an employee-volunteering platform, has announced a fundraising round of Rs 80 crore ($10 million). Among the investors in the round are Binny Bansal, Ursula Burns, Zoom Ventures, Elevation Capital, Xto10X Technologies, Nexus Venture Partners, and Omidyar Network India. Zoom Ventures, Elevation Capital, Xto10X Technologies, Nexus Venture Partners, Omidyar Network India, Ursula Burns, and Binny Bansal are among the investors in the round.
Goodera strives to combine social impact with employee engagement as organizations want to leave a larger social footprint. The new investment will be used to scale the company’s personnel, technology, and catalog, according to the company. In 2017 and 2018, it raised approximately Rs 35 crore in Series A and Rs 79 crore in Series B.
Enterprises may use Goodera to provide on-demand, impactful, and engaging volunteering opportunities to employees all over the world. Among these include assessing resumes of poor kids, assembling solar lamps for the homeless, tree planting, and beach and park clean-ups. “We simplify volunteering and eliminate these overheads. Millions of employees can now volunteer without spending time and effort on volunteer management. This fundraiser will help us scale our infrastructure to enable millions of employees to volunteer,” the founder and CEO of Goodera, Abhishek Humbad stated.
Goodera presently offers virtual, hybrid, and in-person volunteering opportunities to employees in over 100 countries and 20 languages. It has nearly 400 customers, including IBM, Target, EY, Amazon, and other brands, as well as 60 Fortune 500 companies. “With a strong team and a clear mission, Goodera is poised to rapidly scale in a market ready for disruption,” said Binny Bansal on his investment in Goodera.
