Godrej Capital Launches Nirmaan: A New Digital Platform to Empower MSMEs for Business Growth

Godrej Capital, the financial services arm of the renowned Godrej Group, has announced the launch of a new digital platform called Nirmaan, aimed at providing support to Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in India to grow their businesses. The platform has been carefully curated to offer a range of services that are critical to the growth and success of MSMEs, according to a statement from the company.
MSMEs in India face various challenges such as limited access to markets beyond their regional reach, lack of knowledge about legal and regulatory compliance requirements, limited access to technology and skilled workforce, and constraints in accessing credit. Godrej Capital Nirmaan aims to address these challenges and provide services under the categories of “Grow the Business”, “Ease Business Operations”, and “Transformation through upskilling”.
To kickstart the platform, Godrej Capital has partnered with prominent companies such as Amazon Global Selling, Onsurity, Zolvit, and MSMEx. These partnerships are expected to help MSMEs increase their potential market reach, simplify legal and compliance processes, enhance employee health and welfare, and provide business coaching for small businesses.
Speaking about the launch of Nirmaan, a spokesperson from Godrej Capital stated, “We are excited to introduce Nirmaan, a digital platform designed to empower MSMEs and address their unique challenges. Our aim is to go beyond traditional lending and provide value-added services that can help MSMEs unlock their growth potential, improve business operations, and upskill their workforce. We are committed to constantly updating and expanding our offerings through strategic partnerships to cater to the evolving needs of MSMEs.”
During the initial launch phase, Nirmaan services will be promoted in 30 key markets across India, with availability in all corners of the country. Godrej Capital has disbursed over Rs 5,300 crore (approximately USD 718 million) since its inception in November 2020, across housing, SME, and MSME loans.
The launch of Nirmaan reflects Godrej Capital’s commitment to supporting the growth and development of MSMEs in India, and the platform is expected to provide valuable resources and assistance to MSMEs as they strive to expand their businesses and contribute to the country’s economic growth.
