GIMS Launches Uttar Pradesh’s First Public Hospital-Based Medical Incubation Centre to Foster Healthcare Innovation

The Government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS), Greater Noida, has taken a significant step towards fostering healthcare innovation by launching Uttar Pradesh’s first public hospital-based medical incubation centre. The GIMS Centre for Medical Innovation, backed by the Government of Uttar Pradesh, aims to provide a nurturing ecosystem for startups in MedTech, AI in healthcare, digital health, and medical devices.
With a strong focus on medical research and patient care, the incubation centre offers startups direct access to doctors, medical researchers, and a real-world hospital environment. GIMS, which caters to over 40,000 patients every month, will now serve as a hub for healthcare entrepreneurs looking to develop cutting-edge solutions.
Brig. (Dr.) Rakesh Gupta, Director of GIMS, emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating,
