In a proud and progressive step toward sustainable urban living, the Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation has officially launched the Impact Analysis Report of our flagship school-based initiative — Swachh Mohalla Squad. The report was unveiled with the support and blessings of Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Yogi Adityanath Ji, whose visionary leadership continues to drive innovative and impactful civic initiatives across the state.
The Swachh Mohalla Squad initiative was conceptualized and implemented with a focused objective: to inculcate awareness and actionable understanding of solid waste management among school students. Over the course of the campaign, more than 40,000 students across 100 schools in Ghaziabad were engaged through interactive sessions, demonstrations, and hands-on activities.
To evaluate the effectiveness of the program, we conducted a learning assessment among 5,000 students, analyzing knowledge acquisition and behavioral change related to waste segregation, recycling, composting, and responsible civic habits. The findings reveal encouraging improvements in both awareness and willingness to act as change agents in their communities.
This initiative stands as a testament to our commitment toward Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban) goals and our belief in community-led transformation, starting with our youngest citizens.
Grateful to Hon’ble Chief Minister of UP @myogiadityanath for launching Ghaziabad Nagar Nigam’s impact analysis report on learning levels improvement after our intervention Swachh Mohalla Squad, intended to teach students about solid waste management.
