Former Uber and Paytm Executive Ameya Agnihotri Joins 5paisa as CTO

5paisa Capital, a digital discount brokerage, has appointed Ameya Agnihotri, previously associated with Uber and Paytm, as its Chief Technology Officer. Prior to this role, Agnihotri led a team of 110 engineers at Paytm’s travel division, contributing significantly to digital platform development across industries worldwide for 17 years.

Having served as CTO at Zeotap in Berlin and with experiences at Uber, Pub Matic, and Veritas, Agnihotri holds a master’s in computer application from the University of Pune.

Narayan Gangadhar, MD and CEO of 5paisa Capital, expressed excitement about Agnihotri’s arrival, stating “I am very excited to welcome Ameya to the 5paisa team. Agnihotri conveyed his enthusiasm, acknowledging 5paisa’s established platform in digital discount broking and expressed readiness to contribute expertise from his past ventures: “5paisa has already built a fantastic platform and has been among leaders in the digital discount broking space. I am really excited to be a part of this innovative company and offer my experience in building some of the greatest products and platforms in the investing space.”
