Fluid Analytics Secures $1.6M Pre-Series A Round for Global Expansion

Cleantech startup Fluid Analytics has secured $1.6 million in its pre-Series A funding round, spearheaded by Pravega Ventures with participation from an angel investor. According to a press release, the company plans to utilize the capital to initiate a global expansion, with an initial emphasis on North America. Co-founded by Nidhi Jain and Asim R. Bhalerao, Fluid Analytics specializes in monitoring water infrastructure health, waterway conditions, and the proliferation of water-borne diseases on a large scale.
In the company’s statement, they highlighted their achievements, stating, “We have successfully deployed solutions, monitored over 400 million gallons (1.5 billion litres) of urban wastewater spills, and enabled the treatment and reuse of over 200 million gallons (800 million litres) daily.” Additionally, Fluid Analytics continues to oversee a population of over 17.5 million for water-borne diseases, serving as an indicator of sewage spills. Their business model revolves around aiding cities in combating water pollution sustainably, through collaboration with utilities, contractors, and engineering firms.
Pravega Ventures, an early stage venture capital firm, specializes in providing seed and pre-Series A funding. Their diverse portfolio includes companies like Crofarm (now Otipy), Fyle, SalarySe, Cashinvoice, and GrayQuest, among others.
