Flipkart Teams Up with Mahindra Logistics for Enhanced Supply Chain Efficiency

Mahindra Logistics has announced a strategic collaboration with Flipkart aimed at enhancing operational efficiency for the e-commerce giant and reinforcing their shared commitment to innovation.
As part of this collaboration, Mahindra Logistics will provide dedicated heavy commercial vehicles to support Flipkart’s nationwide operations. This will encompass route management, network operations, and the application of advanced analytics to optimize operations. These vehicles, operated in partnership with Daimler India Commercial Vehicles, will cover the length and breadth of India and will feature advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and other technologies to enhance driver comfort and safety.
Mahindra Logistics, a leading integrated third-party logistics service provider in India, will primarily focus on facilitating the movement of Flipkart’s e-commerce parcels.
“We are pleased to collaborate with Flipkart and provide these pan-India dedicated line haul transportation solutions. These solutions expand our current line haul offerings for Flipkart, enabling them to reduce their total cost of operations and improve service,” said Rampraveen Swaminathan, managing director and chief executive officer of Mahindra Logistics.
Flipkart believes that this collaboration with Mahindra Logistics will enable it to leverage the logistics provider’s capabilities to enhance the efficiency and consistency of its line-haul operations.

Their (Mahindra Logistics) dedicated fleet management, expert route management, and advanced analytics will enable an optimal way of load consolidation, and route planning enabling efficient, faster, and sustainable deliveries,” said Hemant Badri, senior vice-president and head of supply chain, customer experience, Flipkart Group.
Mahindra Logistics’ control tower is equipped with technology for tracking fleet productivity through connected vehicles. This approach is expected to reduce operational costs, enhance customer satisfaction, accelerate turnaround times, and elevate service quality.
