Fintech startup Tifin onboards Arun Gautam as VP of engineering


In an effort to provide top-tier fintech services in India, US-based fintech firm Tifin has hired Arun Gautam as its vice president of engineering. With an innovation thesis that defies the conventions of speed & disruption and a vision that is poised to democratise investment intelligence, Gautum joins a strong team that represents the best in finance & IT. He joins with more than 15 years of expertise in enterprise SaaS and FinTech innovation, entrepreneurship, and product leadership.

TIFIN recently revealed its valuation at $842M in a new $109M Series-D financing, driven by an ecosystem of professionals in finance and investing. Financial behemoths like J.P. Morgan, Franklin Templeton, Hamilton Lane, Morningstar, Broadridge, and Motive Partners are among the investors in TIFIN. The company’s main objective of developing world-class fintech innovation out of India is furthered by Gautam’s appointment. They are now hiring for a variety of positions across teams as TIFIN continues to focus on the development and innovation of the nation. With 120 employees now working for TIFIN in India, the company plans to grow its Investments, Data Science, HR, Web3, and other important Engineering departments in FY’23.

In order to recruit top talent and bolster its leadership team in India, TIFIN also recently purchased 1st Main, a digital product agency with which they had been collaborating for some time. The co-founders of 1st Main, Kinnari Thakker and Kiran Nambiar have joined Uttung Malkan, Country Head of TIFIN India, as Chief Design Officer and Chief Technology Officer, respectively. Magnifi, a consumer investment marketplace run by TIFIN, and a B2B arm that collaborates with businesses that offer financial services to consumers are the company’s two main segments. It runs a variety of goods inside each of its divisions, some of which are original to the platform and some of which were acquired.
