Mumbai-based clean-tech startup Exposome has raised Rs 10 crore in a pre-Series A funding round led by Colossa Ventures, a women-centric venture capital firm. The funding round also saw participation from 3i Partners and existing investors, including Rahul Rathi, Bhukhanvala Holdings, Excel Industries, and Spectrum Impact.
The fresh capital will be used to scale operations, expand its reach, and deliver impactful environmental solutions to clients in India and select overseas markets. Exposome aims to continue developing sustainable and affordable solutions for capturing air emissions and treating wastewater.
Launched in 2020 by Prerna Goradia, Exposome has made significant strides in the clean-tech industry by offering innovative products. The company’s differentiated molecular filters incorporate a patented regenerative process and advanced materials that are customisable, long-lasting, and reusable. These filters isolate contaminants from air and water, ensuring that companies comply with industry standards, such as Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) standards.
In a press release, Exposome highlighted its flagship products, Pur-safe and PurCODe. Pur-safe is an advanced molecular air filtration media designed to mitigate air pollution, while PurCODe is a next-gen regenerable media aimed at treating wastewater effluents. Both solutions are cost-effective, plug-and-play systems that can be deployed across various industries, including chemicals, pharmaceuticals, paint, oil, refineries, cement, thermal power, textiles, and leather.
The startup has already made an impact, serving over 25 clients and deploying more than 1,000 filters across industries.
