Moonfire Ventures Raises $115 Million to Invest in European AI Startups

Moonfire Ventures, established in 2020 by former Atomico co-founder Mattias Ljungman, has announced that it raised $115 million to invest in European technology startups and the AI space.
“Moonfire Ventures’ funding emphasizes the advancement of artificial intelligence in Europe, prompting global policymakers to consider how it can be effectively regulated,” stated Mattias Ljungman.
According to Ljungman, “Europe has been at the forefront of AI, and we believe we are well-positioned to support the next generation of entrepreneurs who are tackling significant challenges in healthcare, work, finance, and gaming.”
EU technology chief Margrethe Vestager recently stated that the European Union and the United States will intensify their collaboration on artificial intelligence to establish minimum standards before the legislation comes into effect.
