Ember Raises $3.2 Million to Revolutionize Toxin-Free Cookware for Indian Kitchens

Ember, the emerging cookware brand dedicated to toxin-free and tech-driven kitchen solutions, has raised $3.2 million in a recent funding round led by high net worth individuals (HNIs), family offices, and existing investors. Notable participants included Suhasini Sampath, cofounder of health food brand Yogabar, and acclaimed chef and entrepreneur Saransh Goila.

Co-founded by Himanshi Tandon in 2024, Ember is built around proprietary ceramic coatings that ensure non-stick, toxin-free cookware designed to upgrade durability and safety in Indian kitchens. The company is on a mission to close the gap left by outdated, potentially harmful cookware traditionally found across the country’s $2 billion market.

“This fresh funding will help us double down on research and development, scale manufacturing, and expand our reach,” shared Tandon. “We’re focused on defensible technology at our core, as well as scaling across new categories and distribution channels.”

A major step for Ember is the addition of Saransh Goila as a partner; he will lead Ember’s new Innovation Lab, driving product experimentation and solutions tailored for Indian culinary needs. “India’s kitchens deserve better, but the gap is clear. The only way to bridge it is by designing the kitchen of the future a huge opportunity to transform how the country cooks,” said Goila.

Ember reports that 60% of its sales currently come through its own direct-to-consumer (D2C) channel, with the remainder generated on popular ecommerce platforms like Amazon. While the primary focus remains on India, Ember has attracted distributor and retailer interest from global markets such as the UK, Dubai, and Singapore with international expansion planned in the next two to five years.

With a target to achieve Rs 30 crore in annual recurring revenue (ARR) by FY26, Ember joins a growing cohort of kitchenware startups drawing significant investor backing. Fireside Ventures, for example, has recently led funding rounds in sector peers Beyond Appliances and Cumin Co.

Ember’s rapid progress signals a new era for safer, smarter, and more stylish Indian cooking one that meets both household health needs and contemporary culinary ambitions.
