Dunzo’s B2B logistics arm Dunzo for Business arrives on ONDC

The logistics provider Dunzo for Business (D4B) has joined the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) that provide last-mile delivery services, the firm said on August 4. It will use this to provide last-mile delivery services to regional businesses on the ONDC network. D4B claims to have 75,000 delivery partners and to link 20,000 businesses and customers.
Grab.in, a last-mile logistics business owned by Reliance Retail, had connected its platform with ONDC, confirming Reliance’s formal debut into the much-touted network. “We will grow our services to new cities and become the foundation for intra-city delivery in the Indian e-commerce ecosystem,” stated Dalvir Suri, cofounder of Dunzo and CEO of D4B.
“This agreement will expedite our efforts to provide last-mile logistics available to a broader audience of both buyers and sellers across India,” stated T Koshy, CEO of ONDC. The network is now enrolling retailers, logistic providers, and payment partners to launch in 100 locations by the end of August. By putting unorganized businesses online, ONDC hopes to challenge the dominance of e-commerce behemoths Amazon India & Walmart-owned Flipkart.
Kiko Live began as an influencer-driven video & live commerce network. It is now utilizing its live commerce technology in a business-to-business format, where it onboards local businesses to the app and assists them in conducting video chats and live streams with consumers as well as taking orders. It also provides payment and delivery services.
“In India, e-commerce is quickly expanding. However, the benefit has so far been realized mainly by a small number of major and well-organized vendors. Small sellers and merchants have often expressed their worries about marketplace prejudice, which has harmed their businesses. “ONDC is a fantastic option for driving company growth for the tiniest of sellers and transforming them into equal participants in the digital selling sector,” Chawla added.
