Byju’s CEO Arjun Mohan Resigns, Founder Byju Raveendran to Resume Daily Operations


In a significant development within the education technology sector, Arjun Mohan, CEO of Byju’s, has tendered his resignation after serving for approximately seven months. Mohan confirmed the news to FE Education, stating his decision to step down from the leadership role. As part of the transition, Byju Raveendran, the founder of the company, will reassume responsibility for the daily operations of the renowned EdTech firm.

Mohan, known for his extensive expertise in the EdTech domain, will transition into the role of an external advisor. In this capacity, he will continue to contribute his insights and knowledge to Byju’s and its founders, particularly during this transformative phase.

This announcement comes approximately 10 months after Mohan was appointed as the CEO of Byju’s international business, following his tenure as the CEO of upGrad. His tenure as CEO marked a notable shift in the top leadership of the EdTech industry.

According to a statement from the company, as reported by PTI, Byju Raveendran’s return to the helm of daily operations coincides with the implementation of a new organizational setup. With this strategic move, Byju’s is poised to enter its next phase of growth, driven by a commitment to innovation.
