BugBase, an Indian marketplace for ethical hackers supported by 100X.VC has raised $500K in funding headed by 2am VC. Finsight Ventures, Dholakia Ventures, SAT Industries, and prominent angel investors such as Neeraj Roy (founder, Hungama Entertainment), Nilesh Sangoi (founding CTO and ex-CEO Meru Cabs), Puneet Deora (MD, Deoras Group), Kushal Khandwala (director, KIFS Group), Anoop Mathur (AM Capital and founder, CORE Media), and others participated in the funding round.
Dhruva Goyal, BugBase’s founder and CEO said, “Bugbase’s goal is to provide a broad community of ethical hackers with access to an optimised platform that is already revolutionising India’s cybersecurity business. We aspire to encourage positive connections between ethical hackers and enterprises by raising cybersecurity awareness among organisations and businesses alike.”

2am VC general partner Hershel Mehta stated, “We believe that India’s youth will play an important role in the future expansion of ethical hacking as a service, particularly as the Web3 globe strives for decentralisation. The BugBase team is led and organised by 20-year-old ethical hackers who display community leadership and a strong desire to bring ethical hacking to the mainstream. I wouldn’t bet on their zeal and dedication.”
