Bridgestone appoints Stefano Sanchini as head of India operations


Bridgestone India MD Parag Satpute will take charge of the company’s business in Amsterdam, Netherlands. He has been assigned a new global role in the company’s solutions business and will be based in Amsterdam, Netherlands.  Stefano Sanchini, Vice President of Region Middle-East and Africa (MEA), will be replacing Parag as the head of operations at Bridgestone India, the company said in a statement.  Satpute will be relieved from his current position on January 1, 2023, and Sanchini will take charge of his role from the same date. Sanchini will be conducting his operations from Pune.

When asked for a comment on his new role, Satpute said, “The last few years have been as rewarding as they have been challenging. I am pleased to see the fruit of our efforts. I am excited and look forward to contributing towards Bridgestone’s ambitions as a global leader in mobility solutions.”

“India is one of the most diverse markets and it comes with its own challenges. As we move into new technologies and mobility solutions, the Indian market is going to be a focus area. I am happy to be here as we spread out these solutions to the vast Indian customer base,” Sanchini said. Satpute was given the role of Managing Director of Bridgestone India in November 2017, while Sanchini has been a part of the company since 2017 as Sales Director MEA. He was appointed as VP of Region MEA in 2019.
