Brand VLCC, which sells cosmetics and skincare, announced the appointment of Vikas Gupta as CEO with immediate effect

The global investment firm Carlyle now owns the cosmetics and skincare company VLCC, which on Tuesday announced the appointment of Vikas Gupta as CEO with immediate effect. According to a company statement, the leadership change follows Carlyle’s December 2022 announcement that it would buy the majority of the company’s stock.
Gupta previously served as the CEO of SuperStore, Nykaa’s eB2B division. He also served as Chief Customer and Marketing Officer for Flipkart, an e-commerce site owned by Walmart, from 2019 to 21.
He began his career with HUL, a major FMCG company, where he worked for 21 years in a variety of positions.
Amit Jain, Managing Director and Head of Carlyle India Advisors, said: “Gupta will concentrate on business expansion, utilising technology and a customer-centric approach to introduce the best skincare and beauty offerings to the Indian market. I have no doubt that his leadership will be advantageous to the company.”
