Suniel Shetty, the well-known Bollywood actor and investor, has joined forces with Manun Thakur, founder and CEO of Veda Rehabilitation & Wellness, to launch a groundbreaking mental health app called ‘Lets Get Happi’. The app aims to provide 24×7 access to real-time therapy, addressing the pressing need for affordable, inclusive, and stigma-free mental health care.
Shetty expressed the importance of the app, stating, “This app is a significant step in supporting people with mental health tools and online therapy so they can thrive in all aspects of their lives.” He further emphasized the app’s unique blend of inclusivity, offering a safe space for users to seek anonymous support without fear of stigma or judgment. The app is a committed effort to tackle the blindspot in understanding and accepting the social aspects of mental health in India.
The ‘Lets Get Happi’ app, designed for individuals between the ages of 16 and 35 residing in India’s metropolitan cities, aims to make mental health support universally accessible, anonymous, and affordable. It offers therapy from qualified psychologists 24/7 through audio, video, and chat options, along with features like guided meditations, journaling, and psychological assessment tests. The content covers various wellness topics, with unique meditations based on House and Electronic Dance Music.
With a focus on user anonymity, the app creates a safe space for individuals to discuss their mental health concerns. It also provides both in-person and online therapy options, catering to diverse needs and budgets.
The app is now available for Android and iOS platforms, having received 16,000 organic downloads since its soft launch in May. With its official launch, ‘Lets Get Happi’ is projected to reach over 500,000 downloads within the next nine months. In the upcoming version, scheduled for release by January 2024, the app will introduce AI features, including cognitive games, premium content, podcasts, and interactive journaling.
