Suniel Shetty, the renowned Bollywood actor, has made an investment in REGRIP, India’s first re-engineered tyre start-up brand. The partnership was announced at an event held in Gurugram on July 15, 2023. Suniel Shetty has joined forces with REGRIP to enhance the brand’s visibility and further improve its quality processes and operations in India.
During the event, Suniel Shetty, along with Mahavir Pratap Sharma, an early-stage angel investor, and Tushar Suhalka, the Founder of REGRIP, addressed the attendees and shared insights on this groundbreaking collaboration. This partnership marks a significant milestone for both the entertainment and sustainable business industries. REGRIP, founded by Tushar Suhalka from Udaipur, Rajasthan, focuses on transforming used tyres into reusable products, contributing to a more sustainable future. Suniel Shetty’s involvement with REGRIP demonstrates his commitment to environmental responsibility and circular economy principles. He expressed his delight in visiting the production factory and witnessing the high-quality product that can help mitigate the environmental impact by prolonging the life of tyres.
Suniel Shetty stated, “I am super excited about my association with REGRIP. We’re not just redefining the concept of recycled, safe, economical high-quality tyres, but also contributing to a greener future by reducing waste and maximizing the lifecycle of each tyre. By embracing innovation and sustainable practices, we can create a better world for generations to come.”
Mahavir Pratap Sharma, the first investor in the start-up, expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “I absolutely loved the whole idea and the challenge of creating a brand in refurbished tyres. The entire mechanized process, quality end product, the price, the safety, and impact were a win-win solution for the start-up and my investment.”
Tushar Suhalka, the Founder of REGRIP, highlighted the company’s commitment to circular economy principles and environmental responsibility. He stated, “At REGRIP, we believe in the power of circular economy principles and environmental responsibility. Our journey has just begun, but we are determined to make a lasting impact. Through our tyre refurbishment process, we strive to provide affordable solutions, reduce waste, and contribute to a greener and cleaner planet. We are extremely pleased to align ourselves with Suniel Shetty and work towards our mission to reshape the tyre industry and create a sustainable future for generations to come. Together, we can build a world where old tyres find new life, and environmental stewardship drives innovation.”
REGRIP operates state-of-the-art factories across India, utilizing a meticulous process that involves multiple quality checks and balances. The company uses high-grade rubber and implements shearing and retreading techniques, creating tyres of exceptional quality, strength, and durability. These refurbished tyres, trusted and widely used by small and medium trucking companies, offer safety, affordability, and double the lifespan of new tyres.
