Blinkit Begins 10-Minute Delivery of Apple Products in Select Indian Cities

Quick commerce player Blinkit has started delivering Apple products, including MacBook Air, iPad, AirPods, and Apple Watch, within 10 minutes in select Indian cities, its founder and CEO Albinder Dhindsa announced on Thursday.

MacBook Air, iPad, AirPods, Apple Watch, and other Apple accessories are now available for rapid delivery through the Blinkit platform.

“We’ve started delivering in – Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Pune, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Chennai, Jaipur, Bengaluru, and Kolkata,” Dhindsa wrote.

This move marks a significant expansion of Blinkit’s offerings, which initially focused on grocery and essential item deliveries. The inclusion of high-value electronics, particularly Apple products, could redefine customer expectations in the quick commerce segment.

Despite its rapid expansion, Blinkit’s financials remain a concern for parent company Zomato. In the quarter ending December 31, 2024, Zomato’s quick commerce business incurred a ₹103-crore loss, primarily due to aggressive investments to drive growth.

In its letter to shareholders, Zomato acknowledged that losses in the quick commerce segment under Blinkit are expected to persist in the near term due to continued investments.

While discussing the business outlook, Dhindsa previously noted that increased competition has driven customer awareness and adoption of quick commerce services. However, he also pointed out that this dynamic has temporarily stalled margin expansion.

“While intensifying competition accelerated customer awareness and adoption of quick commerce, it led to a pause in margin expansion in the business, which is expected and should be temporary,” Dhindsa had stated.
