Avnish Anand, the co-founder and managing director of CaratLane, has announced his resignation after 13 years of leadership, marking the end of a significant chapter in his professional journey. Anand confirmed his departure through a LinkedIn post, where he shared his decision to step down and pursue other interests.
In his LinkedIn post, Anand explained his decision, stating, “I have an important life update to share. After more than 13 years (across two stints), my life as a CaratLaner has come to an end.”
Anand highlighted two primary reasons for his resignation: a desire to find balance in his life and the need to avoid future regrets. “Building a business takes a lot of sacrifice and puts work-life balance on the back burner… But things change in life and so do our priorities,” he noted. “There are lots of things that I have always wanted to do. I want to start now and not leave it for when it’s already too late.”
Despite stepping down from CaratLane, Anand expressed his continued commitment to the startup ecosystem, stating that he is keen to “help build more CaratLanes.” However, he also mentioned his plans to take time to explore new ventures before determining his next steps. “In what capacity is what I am figuring out,” he added.
Anand’s departure follows a significant milestone for CaratLane, as Titan recently acquired the remaining shares in the company, further cementing CaratLane’s position in the jewelry industry.
