Arya.ag Raises $29M in Pre-Series D Funding Led by Blue Earth Capital

, Arya.ag, a leading grain commerce platform, has secured $29 million in Pre-Series D funding. The funding round was led by Switzerland-based Blue Earth Capital, with additional participation from Asia Impact and Quona Capital.

The new funds will be utilized to enhance Arya.ag’s market share, profitability, and strategic initiatives, including the deployment of satellite technology to improve farm productivity, reduce waste, and foster farm transparency. This move is set to further solidify Arya.ag’s position as a key player in the agri-commerce space.

“This investment will help accelerate our growth trajectory. With these funds, we plan to expand our reach, serve more farmers and buyers, and introduce innovative offerings to strengthen our position as India’s most trusted agri-commerce platform,” said Prasanna Rao, CEO and Co-Founder of Arya.ag.

Arya.ag provides a platform that empowers farmers and their organizations to decide “when” and “to whom” they want to sell their produce post-harvest. The platform offers access to farmgate-level storage, seamless finance, and transparent commerce. Currently, Arya.ag’s services span across 60% of Indian districts, covering over 11,000 agri-warehouses. The company claims to aggregate and store $3 billion worth of grain annually, while also enabling the disbursement of over $1.5 billion in loans to small-holder farmers, their organizations, and other stakeholders.

Rohan Ghose, Director of Private Equity Partnerships at Blue Earth Capital, highlighted the impact of Arya.ag’s work in the agricultural sector, stating, “Arya.ag’s work with farmers, FPOs, and ‘climate champions’ to build trust, optimize resource allocation, and minimize adverse environmental impacts has been extremely impactful, especially in the face of climate-induced stress in agriculture. We hope that together we can strengthen these networks and create value for all stakeholders in the agricultural ecosystem.”
