Arvind Agarwal appointed by PayU as the CFO of its India Payments Business

Arvind Agarwal has been named chief financial officer for PayU’s India Payments Business, a supplier of online payment solutions. Agarwal has managed a wide range of financial and strategic leadership responsibilities with numerous dynamic, multi-billion dollar software companies that cater to consumers over the course of his career, which spans more than two decades.

He joins PayU following a productive tenure at Nykaa, where he oversaw a significant Covid recovery and made the unicorn profitable. “Agarwal was a crucial member of the Nykaa leadership team both before and after his term. He established solid foundational processes and governance while successfully scaling up the finance function. He significantly contributed to the company’s highly successful public listing, the company said in a statement.

“PayU’s goal of developing a full-stack digital financial services platform for India excites me. This is a fantastic opportunity for me to deepen my understanding of the digital economy as PayU and India’s overall digitisation wave are both at a crucial growth juncture. I’m excited to take part in this journey”, Agarwal continued.
