Annu Rani Makes History with Javelin Gold at Asian Games

Her remarkable season-best effort of 62.92 meters in her fourth attempt not only secured her the top prize but also marked her as the first Indian woman to claim gold in javelin throw in the history of the Asian Games.

The podium also saw Sri Lanka’s Nadeesha Dilhan and China’s Huihui Lyu, who secured the silver and bronze medals with impressive throws of 61.57 meters and 61.29 meters, respectively.
