Aim to rank Goa among the top 25 Asian startup centers

IT Minister Rohan Khaunte stated that the government’s goal is to establish Goa among the top 25 Asian startups in the world. “The government has been constantly encouraging the youth to launch start-ups and is willing to offer incentives and schemes,” Khaunte said at the Republic Day function in Mapusa on Thursday.
In Goa, there are roughly 165 start-ups with an investment of approximately Rs.3 crore. According to him, 219 Goans have benefited from online services provided by the IT sector.
Maximum technology has being applied in numerous sectors to assist the Digital India Policy. Similarly, he stated that the Startup India Policy has received adequate attention in the IT sector to promote the Atmanirbhar Bharat Swayampurna Goem Mission.
Various Centre initiatives, he said, such as Atmanirbhar Bharat, Startup India, Make in India, Skill India, Clean India, Digital India, and Swacch Bharat, provide residents with a variety of development chances. “In keeping with the Swacch Bharat initiative, we have started the Nital Goem Programme,” he said.
Khaunte, who also holds the tourism portfolio, stated that his agency has implemented several measures such as making doing business easier by providing online services. Those that operate illegally are also fined.
He stated that their goal is to maintain beaches clean and safe, and that an integrated beach management and surveillance system will be launched in the coming days. “All beaches will be cleaned through an integrated beach management system,” he added.
