Accenture to purchase Bangalore’s Flutura AI company

Accenture, an IT services and consulting firm, has announced its acquisition of Flutura, an industrial artificial intelligence company based in Bengaluru.

The deal’s financial details have not been disclosed.

Flutura employs around 110 experts who specialise in providing industrial data science services to asset-intensive companies and manufacturers.

According to a statement released by Accenture, “the acquisition of Flutura will enhance the company’s industrial AI services and improve the performance of plants, refineries, and supply chains”.

Additionally, clients in the energy, chemicals, metals, mining, and pharmaceutical sectors will be able to achieve their net-zero objectives more quickly thanks to Flutura’s expertise. Accenture, headquartered in Ireland, intends to leverage Flutura’s capabilities to benefit its clients.

ACCENTURE Flutura AI

Senthil Ramani, Senior Managing Director and Accenture Applied Intelligence Lead for Growth Markets, stated that “Flutura enables engineers to use AI, making it more accessible. This, in turn, assists asset-intensive companies, including manufacturers, in reducing carbon emissions, energy usage, and productivity losses due to unplanned downtime of industrial assets. Ramani believes that the acquisition of Flutura will aid in the implementation of industrial AI-led transformation for Accenture’s clients worldwide, especially in Australia, South-East Asia, Japan, Africa, India, Latin America, and the Middle East”.

In Japan, ALBERT, a data science company, was acquired by Accenture last year.

Krishnan Raman, the CEO of Flutura, stated that “their AI platform empowers engineers to quickly adapt to the constantly changing market and operational situations. He further expressed his excitement about scaling up their platform as a part of Accenture and supporting more industrial clients in achieving significant outcomes in their production operations”.

Accenture has recently acquired several AI companies across different regions, such as Analytics8 in Australia, Sentelis in France, Pragsis Bidoop in Spain, Mudano in the UK, and Bridgei2i and Byte Prophecy in India, as well as Clarity Insights in the US.
