In a strategic move, Accenture has also acquired the edtech powerhouse Udacity for an undisclosed sum. LearnVantage is positioned to provide clients with tailored learning services to facilitate the reskilling and upskilling of their workforce, specifically in the realms of technology, data, and artificial intelligence.
Accenture aims to empower leaders in various industries and governmental bodies to swiftly identify skill gaps arising from technological advancements. The newly launched service promises to deliver industry-specific training promptly and at scale. This encompasses personalized learning experiences spanning technical and business domains, such as AI and data science, cloud and cybersecurity training for IT professionals, and generative AI training tailored for board members and C-suite executives.
Accenture’s CEO, Julie Sweet, emphasized the company’s commitment to leveraging its profound capabilities as a premier learning organization to assist clients in achieving business growth objectives. Sweet stated, “We are scaling Accenture’s deep capabilities as a world-class learning organisation to help our clients meet their business growth objectives and enable their people to develop the relevant skills they need to make the most of the opportunities that technological change is bringing.”
In reference to the Udacity acquisition, Accenture highlighted the incorporation of Udacity’s expertise in integrating proprietary content, expert services, and scalable learning technology. The 230-strong Udacity workforce will seamlessly become part of Accenture LearnVantage.
Accenture LearnVantage is set to collaborate with leading technology ecosystem partners, including Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, and Microsoft, to offer generative AI content, industry-specific technology training, and cloud certifications. The initiative will also engage with notable edtech companies like Pluralsight, Coursera, Workera, and Skillsoft. LearnVantage plans to provide nano degrees, certified online programs designed to equip users with hands-on experience and industry-relevant skills in specialized fields.
“The rapid rise of generative AI has grown our clients’ need for training and upskilling their people in cloud, data, and AI as they build their digital core, which is essential for reinvention,” commented Kishore Durg, global lead of Accenture LearnVantage.
