Xiaomi patents new earthquake prediction technology

The new patent which is called “Method and Equipment for Realizing Seismic Monitoring of Mobile Devices and has the number CN113406696A may come up with a new feature that might help you in identifying an earthquake.
The technology will be helpful in monitoring seismic activity with your smartphone and will eventually help users in detecting an earthquake through their phones. Furthermore, this will be an addition to Xiaomi’s existing earthquake system warning system on MIUI which had warned about 35 earthquakes in China as of May 2021.
It is reported that a new patent will enable a smartphone to read or monitor seismic activity remotely. The patent CN113406696A explains how this data can be transferred to an ‘earthquake processing center’ that can send back the data accessed by human users. Disasters can also be avoided to some extent with the help of this technology by Xiaomi users.
