Kolkata based food chain Wow! Momo to enter ready-to-use food biz. In order to make inroads into this new category which is growing at a CAGR of 18.1 %, frozen ready to eat momo products have been introduced, such as veg Darjeeling Momo, Chicken Darjeeling momo. According to a report by Research and Markets . India’s frozen food market was valued at Rs 9,800 crore in 2020 and it is expected to reach Rs 22,4000 crore by 2025. This new category of ready to make frozen momos by the QSR major will be exclusively available online on grocery platform Big Basket, and will be delivered in 10 locations – Delhi, Gurugram, Noida, Kolkata, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad and Ahmedabad.
Sagar Daryani, co-founder and CEo of Wow!
