Digital Payment Firms Paytm Paytm earmarks Rs 50 crore by rolling out a cash back programme, for consumers and merchants alike to celebrate the 6th year of Digital India. Cashbacks will be available for every transaction made through Paytm The program will be rolled out in 200 districts across the country with special efforts in Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Telangana. The digital payment company said that the merchants throughout the country had played an important role in the growth of the company by using digital payment methods, and as a thank you note to them, they are rolling out the cash back policy. The company is committing Rs 50 crore for the program this year which will uplift over 2 crore merchants who use Paytm in their day – to – day life.” said an official statement of the company. Merchants who have used the app for the most number of times before Diwali will be awarded separately with certificates for being top merchants and will also be given free Soundbox and IoT devices.
Customers have to scan Paytm QR code in shops to get the cashback reward for each transaction. “India has made significant strides in its Digital India mission which empowers all with technological advancements. This mission is bound to contribute to the country’s growing economy. Paytm’s Guaranteed Cashback offer is to recognise the top merchants, who are at the heart of India’s growth and have made Digital India a success,”said Paytm founder and CEO Vijay Shekhar Sharma. Digital India Mission CEO and President Abhishek Singh said that the Digital India mission has grown tremendously in the last few years and has put India in the global innovation map.
