In A New Development Reliance Is Bringing 5G To India.

Since India got the lease of 5G, speculations were on as to.which telephone company is going to come up with 5G first. After Thursday, it is confirmed that Reliance is bringing 5G to India. Reliance also went a step ahead and collaborated with Google, in bringing a smartphone compatible with 5G which will be “ultra affordable.” The collaboration on 5G “will help more than a billion Indians connect to a faster and better Internet, support businesses in their digital transformation, and help Jio build new services in sectors like health, education and more,” said Sundar Pichai, chief executive of Alphabet and its subsidiary Google, who spoke at the AGM of Reliance. This companionship between Google and Reliance will also affect in migrating Reliance Industries’ core businesses, including Reliance Retail, JioMart and JioSaavn, to Google Cloud infrastructure. Sundar Pichai further said, ” We are proud to play a part in India’s next wave of technological innovation. Helping to connect 1.3 billion Indians to the opportunities the internet creates is meaningful to us at Google and certainly to me personally.”
Reliance is also looking forward to integrate Google Edge Cloud with Jio’s app in healthcare, education, gaming and entertainment, also business apps in areas such as manufacturing, which will provide better service to its consumers. They want to use Google’s cloud technology to fully automate and manage Jio’s 5G network and this is also necessary for the key growth of India’s internal business, Reliance Retail, JioMart, JioSaavn and JioHealth. Mukesh Ambani, owner of Reliance companies said, “Jio is uniquely positioned to quickly and seamlessly upgrade to 5G. To develop 5G ecosystem, we are working with global partners to develop a range of 5G devices. Jio is not just working to make India 2G-mukt, but also 5G-yukt.” Further adding that,” JIO PHONE NEXT is powered by an optimized version of Android OS jointly developed by Jio and Google. It is ultra-affordable and packs cutting-edge features. It will be available in the market from Ganesh Chaturthi, 10th September,”
