Technology companies hire tens of thousands of employees every year from countries like India and China. The demand for the H-1B quota is at 65,000 and another 20,000 who have studied from the US are part of the America Works campaign launched by the US Chambers of Commerce.

Through the America Works Agenda, the US chambers are doubling the employment-based visas, doubling the quota on H-1B visas and H-2B visas, and implementing new regulations to the legal immigration system to assist employers to meet the demand for high-demand jobs in labor-strapped sectors. The employment-based visas will be doubled up from 1,40,000/year to 2,80,000/year.
