Water management startup WEGoT raises $1.5 million.

Chennai-based IoT water management solutions startup WEGoT, announced the funding of 1.5 million in a round led by GRUHAS Proptech , Rahul Talwar of DLF Family Office and Harshad Reddy of Apollo Hospitals Family. The round also saw participation from WEGoT’s existing investors like HDFC Capital Advisory Ltd and the promoters of Prestige Group.
With already over 100,000 smart devices in over 30,000 homes and over 40 million square feet of commercial real estate, WEGoT aims to strengthen its squad, expand its footprint pan-India, and enhance existing product capabilities with the investment. The company is looking to grow its team by recruiting across all functions to deliver this critical urban intervention at scale.
Co-Founder and chief executive officer of WEGoT Utility Solutions, Abilash Haridass said in a statement, “We are extremely fortunate to have raised capital from such industry leaders, who believe and support our vision for WEGoT. Coupled with their support and an easy to adopt solution, we are now poised for non-linear growth by delivering our solution in cities across India and substantially reducing their demand for water. We aim to help one million homes reduce their demand for water in the near term.”
