OyChef acquires Rs2.5 crore seed fund

Oychef, a private chef service startup, secured Rs 2.5 crores in a seed round from GrowthStories and others.
The Hyderabad-based startup was launched in 2021 and offers private chefs both for casual, and fine dining experiences at home. The chefs are available on hire to prepare various meals for a few days, weeks, or even longer for one’s household.
The company claims to have 45 Chefs on-board and plans to add an additional 350 chefs and 1000 freelance chefs, further expand into Bangalore and Goa by 2022. This expansion will be followed by entry into Mumbai, Pune and Delhi by 2023.
The company was founded by serial entrepreneurs Sainath Goud Malkapuram and Vinay Kotra, GrowthStories focuses on promoting new seed-stage ideas with a sustainable business future. Further, the company is also in talks with investors to raise another Rs 10 crores to fuel OyChef’s future growth plans.
