Twitter gives charge to Indian-origin Parag Agrawal as CEO after Dorsey exits

The IIT Bombay alumnus Parag Agarwal has taken charge as the new CEO of Twitter after former CEO Jack Dorsey resigned from his post. Expressing his delight to take the role of CEO of Twitter, the newly appointed CEO, Parag Agrawal wrote a letter to his colleagues stating, “The world is watching us right now, even more than they have before. Lots of people are going to have lots of different views and opinions about today’s news. It is because they care about Twitter and our future, and it’s a signal that the work we do here matters. Let’s show the world Twitter’s full potential!”

A graduate from IIT Bombay, Parag Agrawal joined Twitter in 2011 as an engineer. In 2018, through his consistent and appalled efforts, the engineer picked up his rank and was appointed as the CTO (Chief Technology Officer) of the company. The young engineer aims to take the social media app to greater heights by undertaking bold yet right steps in the direction of growth.

Commenting about the new CEO of the company, the outgoing executive Jack Dorsey said, “He has been my choice for some time given how deeply he understands the company and its needs. Parag has been behind every critical decision that helped turn this company around.”
