Sanjeev Kapoor backed Wonderchef raises Rs. 150 crore

The celebrity chef Sanjeev Kapoor backed Wonderchef announced that it has raised Rs. 150 crore from Sixth Sense Ventures. The round also saw participation from Godrej Family Office, Malpani Group and others.
The funds raised in this round would be utilized by the startup to strengthen its online presence and capability, expand distribution networks and enhance its branding initiatives.
Commenting about the recent infusion of capital, the founder of Wonderchef, Ravi Saxena, said, “At Wonderchef, we have continued to develop our business on the back of innovation. The Indian consumer is focused on quality and value, and our sharp focus on these factors has helped us win the trust of our customers. We are elated to have Sixth Sense on-board as we begin Wonderchef 2.0 journey.”
Founded in 2009 by Ravi Saxena, Wonderchef is a leading kitchen appliance brand in India. The company uses an omni-channel distribution network to market its products. The company over the past few years has started developing Wonderchef into a digital brand by focusing on online sales. The e-commerce sales have led to a 20-50% jump in the total revenue of the brand.
