Fashion E-commerce Startup Myntra appoints Nandita Sinha as CEO

Fashion and lifestyle e-commerce platform Myntra has appointed Nandita Sinha for the role of its Chief Executive Officer. This announcement comes one month after the preceding CEO Amar Nagaram stepped down from the role after completing three years.
The new CEO’s appointment would be effective from 1st January, 2022 and she will report directly to the CEO of the Flipkart group, Kalyan Krishnamurthy. Sinha would be leaving her current position which is the Vice President, Growth and Marketing of Flipkart Group where she was leading the overall charter for marketing to join Myntra.
Nandita joined Flipkart in 2013 after stints in Hindustan Unilever Ltd. and Britannia Industries Ltd. During her tenure at Flipkart, she worked across diverse roles and categories ranging from books, beauty and personal care to home and furniture.
Commenting about the recent appointment, the CEO of Flipkart Group, Kalyan Krishnamurthy, stated, “Myntra is integral to the group as an organisation that leads the charter on fashion, beauty, and lifestyle, solving the dynamic needs of the modern fashion-conscious consumer. As the forerunner of several innovations and unique consumer experiences, our aspirations continue to grow for Myntra as a separate company. Given her strong background in driving businesses and an acute focus on customer-centricity, she will be instrumental in defining the next phase of Myntra’s evolution as its CEO.”
