Karnataka Digital Economy Mission unveils plan to tap startups beyond Bengaluru
The Karnataka Digital Economy Mission (KDEM) announced the inauguration of the ‘Beyond Bengaluru Startup Grid’ on Friday, an attempt to connect entrepreneurs in Mangalore, Mysuru, and Hubli.The goal is to establish a network for companies to communicate and flourish by facilitating market access, mentorship, and funding access. KDEM will enable and extend all support for its Beyond Bengaluru Startup Grid members through its industry anchors.
We’re thrilled to see that the ‘Beyond Bengaluru’ mission is gaining traction, and that industry is eager to extend to these locations and assist entrepreneurs to flourish in these clusters in order to meet our aspirational target of 5,000 businesses from these clusters. “Startup Grid is a step in the right direction,” said KDEM chairman B.V. Naidu.

In this tier-2 cluster, several corporations have lately opened worldwide delivery centres. With 250 and 300 personnel, IBM Corp. and Glowtouch have opened worldwide delivery centres in Mysuru. With 150 employees, iMerit has begun operations in Hubbali, validating the Beyond Bengaluru mission.
