Funding Alert

Cloud Kitchen Startup CureFoods in talks to raise $30 million

The Bangalore based startup CureFoods is in talks to raise $30 million in its next equity round of funding led by Accel and Chiratae. The startup is also looking to raise $10 million in debt from venture debt funds.

The cloud kitchen company is likely to utilize the funds to acquire half a dozen brands in the food space as well as explore more inorganic opportunities. The funding alert comes just a few months after the company raised $13 million in its series A round of funding led by Iron Pillar.

CURE

Founded in 2020, Curefoods is an online cloud kitchen startup based out of Bangalore. It operates brands like EatFit, Yumlane, Aligarh House Biryani and Masala box and has over 25 kitchens across four cities in India. The company has been acquiring and incubating multiple cloud-kitchen brands over the last few months and is likely to double the cloud-kitchen acquisitions.

Looking forward, Curefoods aims to increase the number of cloud kitchens from seven to 25 while also expanding into different cities. The latest capital infusion would allow it to reach a step closer to the unicorn club.
